How is This Possible?

Wireless Training Solutions’ Live Online Remote access Labs are accessed through a web-based, remote control infrastructure, referred to as the WiTS - Network Operations Center or WiTS-NOC, which is centralized at our Colorado Data Center. Our Labs are NOT a simulation; you are accessing our actual WLAN hardware and software.  Students download a small remote control application that runs on their local PC and uses a high-speed Internet connection to take over various pieces of WLAN equipment located within the WiTS-NOC. The equipment is viewed in a second desktop window that appears on the student's local PC and gives them complete control over the remote equipment. The access speed is determined by the speed of the student's connection but even for slower Internet connections it is very nearly real-time.

Online Meeting Rooms Overview

Wireless Training Solutions (WiTS) Live Online classes are presented in a way that is similar to the in-person classes, but instead of meeting together physically in a real-world classroom, all of the students of an online class meet together through the Internet in a virtual classroom.  This virtual classroom is hosted by an Internet-based online meeting room provider.  You may have been involved previously with an online meeting room if you have ever attended a GoToMeeting webinar or conference bridge.

Connecting to our Remote Access Labs

Access to the Wireless Training Solutions - Network Operations Center (WiTS-NOC) represents the third application in the WiTS online training aid.  Remote access allows a student to connect to a PC in our building and control it as if they were actually in possession of out lab computer.  The only tangible difference is that the student can’t actually touch the PC.
